The Georgia Parental Information and Resource Center (PIRC) provides information and resources that we hope you will find useful in your role as the primary educator of your children.  There is valuable information here about the federal No Child Left Behind legislation and what it specifically means to your child or children, the schools they are attending, and the local school district.  For example, if your child is attending a low-performing school, you may be able to get free assistance for tutors or other supplemental education services. You will find tips that may prove useful when talking with teachers or school officials.  If you have younger children, we have great advice regarding book selection and effective ways to read with them.  If you want to get more involved at your child's school, you will find some interesting ways to do this that fit your schedule and interests. Visit the Georgia Parental Information and Resource Center at 600 West Peachtree Street, Suite 1200, Atlanta, GA 30308 or visit the website at www.georgiapirc.net.
